Beryl Lights

Emily Brooke, founder of Beryl (formerly Blaze), caught the cycling bug after doing a charity bike ride and, as a result, decided that she would do her final year Product Design course project on the theme of Urban Cycling. The product she developed, the Laserlight, generated so much interest and excitement for its innovative approach to enhancing cycle safety that she decided to set up a company so that it could be launched on the market.

Since those early days in 2012, the company has grown from strength to strength, including having its core laser technology incorporated into the bike hire fleets of both London and New York. Now embarking on a new chapter, Blaze has been renamed as Beryl, marking a new era for the company and its mission to get more people cycling in cities.
