Brooks took natural rubber, vulcanised it and then added a thin layer of organic cotton canvas for additional durability and comfort. Such a simple approach rings true with Brooks' long history of bike saddle production and choice of materials, providing the Cambium with excellent longevity and reliability.

The Cambium has been received very well by Brooks' loyal followers despite its remarkable deviation from their traditional use of leather. Its out of the box comfort has been achieved through rubber’s natural flexibility, absorption of vibration and shock resistance.

The canvas exterior of the Cambium has also been treated with Brook's Numac to weatherproof the saddle. Stainless steel rails and an aluminium structure add further resilience to this great everyday saddle.
